Pros
Some of the best colleagues I've had in my career I met here. They were so good I've gone on to work with them in other places as well. There were teams with tons of potential at this place.
Cons
In spite of falling backwards into some of the best talent in the valley, they treat their engineering group like dispensable contractors - despite being fully salaried and invested individuals - with no regard to their professional opinions or experience. Instead, arbitrary and unrealistic timelines are bandied about by those with little to no applicable experience in order to impress others in leadership or third parties- all this invariably leading to no forethought or focus for the viability or quality of the products that are being developed. Praise and promotion is given to those who cut corners to meet deadlines while those who give honest and professional estimates are labeled as "disruptive" or "non-team players". This despite those in the latter group regularly pulling 50+ hour work weeks for months on end and forgoing any semblance of work-life balance. Overall, it has been a real shame to see a company with such deep talent flounder and sputter. This is a technology company that consistently fails to recognize and capitalize on their potential.
