Pros

Great Benefits including stocks, 401K, health. dental, vacation, sick pay

Cons

High in favoritism & Politics.Volunteering for shift work and on weekends gets you nowhere. So many people moving around in the company nothing is consistent. They like to stick to their 20 something year old employees and get rid of the older people. If you arent in the In crowd you are nothing. Almost Every person who moved from San Mateo to Vegas has been promoted. My boss was hired at a random public event

Thank you for leaving your feedback. We are glad that you were able to enjoy the benefits that we offer. We have taken a good look at our mission and values and we are continually adding benefits based on who we are as a company. Though we are growing so quickly, we are committed to hiring equally on all levels. In fact, 59% of our company is composed of employees in their 30s or later. We have also taken the initiative to actively hire veterans for our military projects. We are proud to say that we have tripled our veteran employee population in one year!

Pros

Just to quantify my review a bit, I am within the top 10% of inside sales reps within our 12,000 person company. It is a great place to work and people doing well ARE able to make good money here. The executive team ALWAYS has a platform for reps to help make SolarCity a better place every quarter. They involve the top 20 reps each quarter in various ways to help their peers through an interactive group called Team Elite. Executives, VP's, Directors, and Managers are always willing to help and go to bat when there are issues with things that need to be fixed. The direction of the company is consistent and although the company is large, decision makers work as hard as possible to steer the big ship quickly when necessary.

Cons

Knee jerk reactions with decision making at a director level create issues from time to time. Culture has had its ups and downs due to HUGE growth last year and subsequent high attrition rates.
