Pros
You learn to rely on yourself as much as possible knowing that you will be judged anyway based on what others will say no matter how hard you work. This is the jungle, where the fiercest of them all wins! Choose your allies carefully and say only what is necessary. Employees are more busy with chit-chatting than their normal activities. That's how you learn to be tough. Good thing is that Saturdays and Sundays are off. And almost all bank holidays the company will be closed.
Cons
Their offices have survived Vietnam and Gulf war, moisture is everywhere. Salarywise, you are not fully declared to the social security, so part of your salary will not be transferred to your bank account and will be handed over by cash. Work schedule is not flexible: 8 to 5 (like a bookstore except for it is meant to be a professional services company); if you arrive at 8h06 you will be deducted 6 minutes from your pay! The use old material, hardware and software while they sell innovative and promising software (they do not use what they sell, i do not know how the clients are convinced) If you want a payslip or know your payed leave balance, you can't! No HR system. One more thing: the CEO is always right, even if the topic is about something you master, or an HR topic, or Strategic Organisation Staffing Plan or Business Development, or sales account manager or even the office boy's little task.. just say yes (Sir)
