Pros
Pay is really good, management is usually on your side, specially more experienced managers, a lot of overtime during winter, and chill during summer, can easily request time off for those summer vacays, union strong, if you live close enough can take vehicle home.
Cons
Upper management definitely against operation workers, customer can definitely make it difficult, sometimes be best to get some of your own tools. Can’t really plan your off time cause there are situations were you won’t suspect but you will work overtime when you were planning on getting off on time, and it’s very common with everyone, we do get personal business time so you can ask ahead of time to use some of that to get off on time.
