Pros

- With the everchanging political climate, Skupos has made real effort to be on the right side of history by building a very inclusive environment. -At one point, Skupos was a thriving startup with the goal to disrupt the multi-billion dollar convenience store market, unfortunately, after 5 years they are still trying to find the how.

Cons

- Management gaslights and lies to employees about career potential: Failure to provide internal mobility (i.e. not allowing Retail CSMs to interview for Enterprise opportunities, Tier 2 support not allowed to be promoted to Tier 3, providing false promotions by giving new title and increased work with no additional compensation - CSM to Sr. CSM) -Culture starts at the top and has devolved dramatically: There is constant turnover (1.8 yrs median tenure) from VPs who were in seat for less than 3 months, 2 of 3 founders leaving the company, Directors hired and fired in less than a year, and staff level employees with no career advancement opportunity. - Constantly "pivoting" the company goals: Focusing on Retail for 6 months then Enterprise for 6 months and back to Retail for 6 months. Hiring 3rd party workforces to push unsuccessful pilot programs (spaghetti meet wall). -Tobacco sales data (TSD) is the backbone of Skupos - it is what has allowed it to grow to 14k retailer locations. It is a viable product with many competitors, however, Skupos is trying everything in its power to pivot away from this with no clear plan to do so.

It's important that our employees are fairly compensated and have the opportunity to interview for any internal roles for which they might be qualified. We hear your point loud and clear on internal career paths, and are actively working on this initiative. . We're sorry that you were dissatisfied with your experience, however your feedback will help us to adjust our internal processes to improve the experience of others. We did pivot in 2020 between retail and enterprise, and we certainly didn’t aim to create whiplash or a sense that we lack focus. Operating in a two-sided market is an exciting position, but also creates a natural tension that means we constantly need to assess where to drive focus and innovation to create the most value to our customers across both sides of the business. We are excited about the opportunity ahead, and realize it is our employees that get us through this next chapter of growth. We appreciate your willingness to take the time out of your day to share this feedback with us. Incredible co-workers, great work-life balance, ability to work remote or in-office

Cons

Sadly, many of the wonderful employees of Skupos were laid off after our acquisition by a competitor.
