Pros
Internationally, company has an outstanding reputation and is great for your resume. Company provides excellent benefits, is environmentally aware, and is beneficially involved in the respective location's local community. Company is very competitive in the construction arena which provides a reasonably comfortable level of job security. Company's stated, corporate employment policies are exceptional.
Cons
In some locations, stated policies exist only on paper while a "good, old boy" environment remains from the previous ownership. Non-management, non-technical personnel are treated with little respect and given no defining career paths. Salaries/bonuses for this group are very mediocre (or less) and long hours/weekends are the norm. Management arrogance is encouraged and perks are given to a select few. Standards are uneven, i.e., some get training, some do not, some are recognized for their dedication, some are not, etc...very uneven atmosphere.
