• Excellent culture, atmosphere, camaraderie and work ethic: Employees are very collaborative, excited about their job and contributing to a fast-growing startup. I have made many friends here. • Interesting work and responsibility: Employees at all levels of seniority get interesting work, and a great deal of responsibility. I find that this improves my job satisfaction dramatically. • Supportive team members, managers and senior leadership: Newcomers and long-timers alike have repeatedly expressed their satisfaction with their colleagues to me in their short time here. • Can-do attitude and exemplary customer service: This is evidenced by our customer satisfaction and strong performance • Agile and capable leadership: There is very little bureaucracy here, especially for a company that's been around for a while. Management reacts fast to employee feedback.
Cons
• It is, at the end of the day, a startup: This isn't as much a con as it is a fact about working at startups in general. There are going to be issues regarding organization; to some, this may be reflective of inefficiency. To others, it's fun and exciting. Sightly is a fast-growing company and has similar growing pains, which management deals with transparently and quickly. • Undocumented context for certain issues: Since this company has been around for a relatively long time, a lot of ideas (technological and organizational) have a great deal of context and history. As a newcomer, wrapping your head around all of this can be time-consuming.
