Good/Interesting company overall - Senior Software Engineer Shippo Employee Review

I was approached by a recruiter inquiring if I had any interest in joining the team. The first interaction, through every interview, and now joining the company was reflective of the unique and special culture at Shippo. I'm excited to contribute and build on top of that culture. The interview process was so well structured and thoughtful. The consistent and timely communications throughout with clear instructions and next steps were especially appreciated.

Nothing outside of the ordinary - things move fast so the ramp up requires focus and even with that, the team is incredibly supportive.

Remote work, pay was okay, some good coworkers

Lots of office politics going on in leadership and HR and direction shifts with the wind. No real clue of what we're working towards and too much tech debt to make any real progress on the product.
