Pros
- Flexibility and independence -- no one is going to tell you how to do your work, because others expect that you know what you're doing and that you'll make the appropriate decisions
- Smart, friendly coworkers who are willing to help; I've learned a lot from my coworkers since joining
- Good pay and benefits
Cons
ShiftLeft is a company for the right person; if you're not one who thrives in an environment where no one is watching you closely and can make decisions when there's some degree of uncertainty, I think you'll struggle a bit. Similarly, if you need things to be extremely well-defined, the start-up nature of ShiftLeft probably wouldn't work for you.
