Pros
Some of the people were nice. Free fruit day. Sometimes there would be running water. Free cheap coffee, tea and milk. Home time.
Cons
Wow, where to start? This place is so backwards. Toxic work environment. A lot of toxic people work here and they THRIVE! The 'senior' team are truly disgraceful. Really scraping the barrel here! The staff survey they do, they make you watch a presentation before you fill it in. Then, you have to fill it in whilst a member of management is in the room, looking over at everyone's screens. Absolute BS, so you cannot trust any of the data they source this way. Staff that have been there for some time are on older contracts (salaried) and take advantage of this, arriving well after 9, leaving well before 5 and taking extended breaks. I'd probably estimate they worked part time hours at most, yet paid for full time hours. The same staff walked around with a sense of self importance, not usually seen in people carrying out such menial jobs on poor salary (can only guess they had further issues outside of work, which meant they felt they needed to overcompensate at work?!) There are just too many things about Serco, an endless list. Guys, the grass is 100% greener on the other side. This place is a drain; depressing. Anyone with more than a couple of brain cells is better than this place. Here's to Serco losing the NAS and NCS contracts or actually hiring competent senior staff :) The government would be stupid to hand Serco the contract again, Serco belong with the likes of Thomas Cook, Comet, BHS and Blockbuster.
