Pros

Fun group of employees in the office, always keen for frequent drinks and dinner together after work, friendly and keen to help out and work together.

Cons

- A company who bully and mistreat their staff. - Management are neither nice nor competent. Their family dynamic and distrust made it difficult for them to recognise incompetence and limitations. - They sent staff home sick and would deduct annual leave if they had no doctors note. - Their job listings state that depending on ambition your role may expand, this is true. If you complete your job well, they will add new responsibilities with no benefit, pay raise or gratitude. - Staff turnover was at a concerning average of under 6 months. They repeatedly refused to accept the toxic environment driven from the top down was the key reason for resignations. - They do not follow basic business practices like staff management, business development and standards of operation. - It is sickening that they have surveillance cameras stationed to cover all working spaces in the office. They check the cameras upwards of 20 times a day – the give was the beeping monitor signalling the cameras were being accessed remotely. If you were not seen at your desk you will be pulled aside and told you are being watched. This caused anxiety amongst the team. - We were not allowed to have lunch at the same time, or a team coffee. We were told which slot to take alone, making team culture hard to develop.

Pros

1 hour long lunch breaks

Cons

My entire experience was so so so so horrible. The "internship" in question is only unpaid warehouse labour. I mindlessly stood at a table and wiped shoe boxes for hours and would still be asked to stay back. I didn't feel welcome or comfortable with any of the team. I seriously couldn't stress enough DO NOT TAKE THIS INTERNSHIP. I don't know how it's legal.

Pros

Exposure to operations and industry processes.

Cons

There were ongoing issues with payroll accuracy and a lack of transparency around pay structure, which required repeated follow-up to resolve. There was also consistent pressure to stay beyond scheduled hours to complete tasks, despite no clear agreement around overtime or compensation. Expectations were often communicated last minute as the management usually arrived in the afternoon, creating unnecessary stress. The workplace culture was a major concern. Comments were made about employees’ food being “too strong” when heating it up in the communal kitchen followed up by inappropriate comments about how it smelt for other people that bring “normal” food, which was highly inappropriate and targeted towards a specific race. These situations were not handled sensitively and contributed to an uncomfortable and exclusionary environment. In addition, management introduced increasingly rigid controls, such as strict monitoring of time and movement, constantly checking cameras, which created a low-trust atmosphere rather than supporting productivity. Overall, the environment felt highly reactive, with unclear processes, inconsistent/discriminatory management, and a workplace culture that did not feel respectful or inclusive.
