Did 3 interviews for this job and through out the hiring process was told by several differnt people you would quote 10 people a day and write 7 of them and annually first year would be around 80k. After 2 1/2 months on the phone you would be lucky to get 7 calls a day!
The calls you do get are bottom of the barrel leads people in their 60's and 70's that either really can't afford insurance or really don't have the need at that point, or are on SSI, disability, have major medical problems, or don't financially qualify. Only agents that have been there for a while get good leads. Our class started out with 32 people and as of this week is down to 9 either people left because it was so slow and weren't going to be making any money or got fired for not producing enough. How can you produce anything if the phone isn't ringing? Wouldn't quit you job for this position.
