The lies start with the recruiters. If you know someone within the company, you will be treated very differently from others. You are paid below industry standard plus no commission on renewals because the company provides the leads. Quotas are raised frequently and are unrealistic for most as not everyone receives the same quality of leads. Very few are inbound calls from interested customers. Some are lukewarm at best. Most are people on fixed income who were called by unscrupulous marketing reps who are paid to transfer calls to SelectQuote agents and not to actually qualify leads. Some sales tactics you are asked to use are questionable. This is a call center and you are a shift worker. Forget everything you knew about being an insurance agent. Forget work-life balance.
