Pros
- Room for growth - promotions & lateral moves are readily given if you prove yourself and ask (especially early on in your career) - Permanent work from home - good work/life balance and more flexibility - New management at Head of/Director level is much more encouraging and competent than it was 6 months ago, especially in Trading. Management in my current team is great. - Lots of opportunity to pick up new skills and learn in a fast paced environment - It looks great to work for a new company experiencing so much growth, the ambition is also exciting and it feels great to deliver - The team that I'm in prioritises well so that we can focus on the most important projects - You get your birthday off for free
Cons
- There are definitely some teams that fuss over minutiae (not because they want to but because it's dripped down from management) - People do get let go every now and then on the whims of investors needing to make cut backs. I get that this is a part of most businesses but it's never nice. - Compensation & Benefits aren't great - smaller things are given every now and then and they are appreciated but it could be improved - Haven't met half the company in person, it would be good if staff meetups/socials were more frequent - No HR
