Pros
I have been working with Seaport for around 3 years. I joined the company in a junior position initially, but worked hard. Thankfully, unlike a lot of other company, my manager recognized my hard work. Based on merit, I was promoted to team lead, and then supervisor after my previous manager moved to a new division. Exposure to new opportunities, even if I wasn't interested in them, is a huge benefit of working here. Through exposure to new challenges & functions, I have learned so much about transportation, leadership, and other transferrable skills while working here. I am truly grateful for that.
The office/systems are also brand new, I really feel like I'm working at a Transportation 3.0 company sometimes. We have a lot of cutting-edge tools that make the job far less stressful.
Cons
Sometimes the hours are long, but thankfully managers are very understanding and provide flexibility in other ways. Transportation is an industry that rarely sleeps, and I understand its hard to get away from work while drivers are still on the road.
