Pros

It is a decent place to get familiar with cable technology. The technology is not state of the art, but it is enough to get a taste of what is going on around the industry. I would only recommend this to a new graduate and citizen looking for a short term opportunity or an experienced cable and embedded developer. A new graduate will get a taste of integration, testing, embedded devices, and cable, which is okay in the short term. This is not good for the long term because there are no reliable developmental opportunities. For an experienced cable and embedded person, most of this tasks should feel familiar and the companies like to recruit this kind of experience.

Cons

This company has lived contract to contract for some time, probably by directive of the board of directors. So, the company is basically a lowest bidder that overpromises the customer. This is not necessarily bad, but the technological strategy does not reflect the business strategy. The management focuses more on hardware, not software, related problems. Poor design and low resources lead to missed deadlines and a bad reputation. There are also some office politics and disruptive individuals, so be prepared to have your code or self badmouthed in mail or in your face. This is part of daily life. Besides that, everyone else is usually nice.
