Cons
1. Low pay. $10 an hour for the amount of work a scribe does is nothing 2. The branch in Virginia doesn’t have their act together... A) They made me drive to Charlottesville three times (two hours from where I live) first for a drug test, second for a hepatitis B vaccine, and third for EMR training. B) Made me track down my drug test results and vaccines and paperwork from the clinic where I got my tests done instead of doing it themselves. When the nurse wasn’t allowed to give me my drug test results (she sent it to them numerous times, but I guess that wasn’t good enough), they made me redo it at another much closer clinic, so I wasted two trips to Charlottesville C) Made me do ALL of the Outpatient training, only to decide that they didn’t want me working in OP so they made me do all of the ER training instead D) They make you take a timed 100+ question exam and don’t provide any type of study guide for. If you get less than an 80, guess what. You’re fired! They strung me along for literally five months, only to fire me for getting a 70. This company (at least the Culpeper/Manassas/Fredericksburg area of Virginia) is garbage. If you live in the areas that I listed, don’t work here. You won’t actually work, you’ll just get strung along for half a year because HR is having “difficulties.”
