Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective of your time with Scout.
August 2019 was a long time ago and while a lot has changed since then, our core values remain our focal point within the organization. We are a service organization and while I would agree we need to provide outstanding customer service (to our customers and ourselves), I disagree that it requires our team to take any form of abuse to provide that service, nor do we allow it (then or now). It’s been an intentional choice to surround ourselves with amazing customers and employees and we’ve had to make hard decisions to end relationships when we encounter companies or individuals that don’t align with this. This philosophy has always been in place, even during your time with us. I agree there have been stressful situations, back then and now, but I will say that in 4 years we have increased our professionalism, even during the high stress scenarios. We hold each other accountable to extend respect and kindness to everyone we interact with. However, no one is perfect, we acknowledge that. We know that a good mistake is the best way to learn and ensure that we don’t make the same mistake again and that makes us better employees, partners, friends and people. Looking back, I’m sorry you didn’t feel comfortable sharing this till now. It has always been important for us to create a safe environment where people feel comfortable sharing anything that is going on without fear of repercussions. I feel we’ve come a long way, but are always looking for areas to improve so thank you again for sharing your thoughts!
