Pros
Standard expected working hours. Small company feel with nice staff. Decent pay. Easy freeway access. Close enough to downtown CLE.
Cons
Scottcare is a great company to work for if you are the type of person that would like to steadily add more tasks and have the workload of 4+ positions. It can be a great learning tool to take with you when you go. It is a classic small and very 80's minded and driven workplace with terrible moral aside from its service department. It is quite hard to believe that it is a health or technology operation. The average salary is just that, average but the health care is appalling. If you have a spouse and can take advantage of their health plan it is the way to go. It appears that many of the employees are sub-par and hired due to willingness to work for low to average pay where if more knowledgeable staff members were hired at proper rates the company would not require as much overhead. Whilst it sounds good to hire within, this company does so even when the promoted employee is not equipped to handle the position but rather fits the budget. Management could strictly use an interchanging of more knowledgeable members that are not only more skilled in their own managed departments, nonetheless contain a better knowledge for the other departments as well since they should be working together. Timeframes and deadlines within the company are something to be laughed at. They are designed by uninformed and dated managers, consequently these deadlines change at the drop of a dime with or without plausible reason. Releases do not go out on time due to being drastically under staffed and far too many changes being made by poor decision makers. The team was revoked usage of earned vacation days due to its outdated product release which decreased moral yet even lower. The facility looks like the company operates, archaic and poor, not to mention always filthy. The restrooms are constantly out of order and we are forced to walk next door to use a neighboring facility or as e-announced “You may go to McDonalds” – Ghee thanks. The parking spaces were remarked some time ago to allow for more parking by making them wide enough for a small sedan. Thank you for the ding marks in my door, maybe I can leave my car parked at McDonalds next time. The facility has very limited office space / seating such that offices are shared and cubicles are tight. Working from home is not an option even though 100% of many job functions could be performed anywhere else and this is firmly believed by its employees that this is only due to the fact that management does not understand the capabilities of remote access and completed work speaks for itself.
