Pros
There is a lot to do as many left. Laws of chaotic organizations, young profiles would learn, it is a school of adaptation and communication :) those who love feeling useful and needed, with short term objectives, would enrich a CV with new competencies and heavy tricky tasks, however difficult to cash an ownership, legitimate responsibilities are very concentrated high level, little true ownerships
Cons
Had some values, crisis is showing real top managers' face, little consideration for employees. Many of us made big personnal sacrifices for the company, despite performer appraisals for years, no financial recognition, salary decrease, little internal evolution. People are sacked dirty in shadow for "every year" for strong cost cutting (and nice profits), targetting experts (managers disappeared to become at best experts), to rebalance in low cost countries. Obviously now more than ever. Uber culture, no need of intermediate jobs... low cost low quality, little managerial culture, most "managers" (those who manage with ethics) have left, now stay the "leaders" (vision disconnected with operations). Real difference between corporate comm (employee care, recognition) and reality ww for years (overload, unethic tricks). Clever people protect themselves, low perf (low risks) and high comm. Just do not believe them when they communicate... even employee satisfaction surveys are tricked. Take benefits and run away ?
