      Pros

      Rewarded well for extra day/ partial day. Not micro-managed. Numerous shifts available with varying pay structures. Experienced, and well seasoned dispatcher/ fleet manager in a local office. The safer/ harder you work, the higher your bonus pay.

      Cons

      If you excel in unsafe, distracted driving and spend excessive time at rest areas and fuel stops stay away from Schneider. Work can be slack at times, as in an 8-10 hour day instead of the full 12 hours drivers are expected to work.

      Pros

      Dedicated local account, driver leaders are nice, equipment is decent.

      Cons

      $12/hr on duty, not driving pay. That’s ridiculous and includes everything except driving. Work can be inconsistent at times, hours can be long, no holiday or mileage bonus pay for a long time after hire, benefits are expensive. Schneider won’t allow drivers to use Bluetooth or any other hands-free device, INCLUDING HEARING AIDS, to receive calls while driving. This makes having a life outside of work and scheduling appointments almost impossible.
