Pros
Work is manageable. I have made a lot of friends at work, and I love spending time with the residents.
Cons
I've been employed with the company for over five years. The first two years were excellent; the management was well-organized and supportive. The last three years have been disorganized and chaotic. They constantly advocate for equality, inclusivity, and mental health awareness, but they frequently disregard the rights and mental health of their staff members. When you make a small error, they call you a disappointment, but they don't value or acknowledge your efforts or positive contributions. Also, the company gives inconsistent working hours. Instead of giving you the extra hours you request, they keep hiring more employees. In the workplace, there's also racial bias and favouritism. The management is indifferent to PSWs standing around and mocking residents.
