Pros
I worked for Scantron on two different occasions in two different locations. In 2021, I worked for them in Midland, TX. After only 5 months of employment, I had to take a leave of absence to be a caregiver to my 90 year-old mother in what turned out to be her final months of life. This required me to relocate to a different part of the state and they did not have an open position for me to return to in that are at the time that my leave was to end. Fast forward a little over a year later, they had an opening in my area, and gladly took me back because I left on good terms and for good reason the first time. That was good of them to do that.
Cons
Some in upper management seemed as if they could not say "no" to new business and it created an environment where we were expected to cram 16 hours worth of work into an 8 hour day and OT was not allowed.
Unless you were on-call for one account that demanded after hours availability. This was two hours in the evening through the week and 8 hours on Saturday for 18 hours total, or $90. That amounts to $5/hour. I won't portend to speak for any other techs, but my personal after hours time is worth more than that. A lot more.
