Pros

I really like the founder Walter and co-founder Sam, they are great people to work with, they are very nice with good heard and soul. They are truly passionated about mobile health. I feel that they have this amazing ability to "produce" ideas that are forward thinking, visionary, and sometimes even philosophical. I also like most people if not all I work with, they are all very nice and smart. They have done a good job in taking care of employees, there are monthly BBQs with high quality food selections, every Wednesday wine etc. I also love the products they are developing, medical device can really be Apple (ish) personable and user friendly.

Cons

Cross functional team communication can be improved. Some team leads are weak than others.

Pros

If you can lay low and join a team with good people and a good manager (there are a couple), it's possible to be shielded from the politics for a short while.

Cons

Unfortunately, politics corrupt this company from the top down. The CEO and VPs often make promises to investors, board members, and the public to gain funding and company hype. The technical feasibility is an after thought, and a burden placed on the manager and employees of the team. When things are going well, expect that the VPs and CEO will be there to take credit; if things are going poorly, expect them to maneuver themselves out of the path of destruction and let their employees take the fall. I strongly advise future candidates to talk to people on their team before making any decision.
