I worked at Scan-IT on a logistics maintenance product, contributing as a technical writer across several internal apps. While I gained hands-on experience documenting real-time processes and stakeholder-driven content, documentation as a whole was treated as a low priority. Most internal documents were outdated, bloated with irrelevant information, and lacked regular upkeep — unless directly needed for client presentations or audits. Some teams maintained good documentation standards due to proactive SMEs, but overall, support and recognition for documentation efforts were limited.
