Pros
Owners are humble and Leadership cares.
The people! At times we see each other more than we see our families...
Organization has tremendous room for growth.
Quirky company with strong values where family is valued. Since my on-boarding, Sashco has offered a generous PTO allowance, more than just government holidays off, and for the last 8 years, a week long closure around the Christmas season so team members may celebrate with their families.
Cons
Every company, small and large has obstacles, room for improvement, and people in the wrong seats. Sashco is no different, however, leadership cares and is willing to have hard conversations and make changes when necessary. At times a little slower than most would like. But to be fair, change is almost always uncomfortable and the "why" communication is not always appropriate to share.
When short staffed, team members carry more than the normal work load, making the balance between work and personal life challenging. This is embraced by some and can cause others to abandon post.
Like most manufacturing floors, during summer months the production team works in hotter than normal temps. This can make for a unpleasant work environment.
