Pros

This company knows how to recruit great new therapists right out of grad school with the sign on bonus, so I made a great group of therapist friends. We all quit after less than a year and are much happier working elsewhere.

Cons

There is so much to say. This company expanded very quickly and is absolutely focused on profits over patients. Patients that were totally inappropriate and unsafe for this level of care were routinely admitted because admission is the most lucrative part of the process. There were constantly clients being kicked out because they never should have been admitted in the first place. There were frequent fights, and the police had to be called often. The on-site leadership was very young, inexperienced, arrogant, and displayed no actual clinical skills . Residential level of care and PHP were completely combined, and this made it impossible to do group therapy because of the different stages of change. The director of nursing at the time was a textbook narcissist. There were some great nurses, but most left quickly for other facilities. Some of the nursing staff was inappropriate, incompetent, and downright scary. There were incidents of the clients being able to access the medication room due to improper supervision and locks which led to a nearly fatal overdose at the facility. There was a nurse that was grooming some of the teen girl clients.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We know that working in behavioral health can be both meaningful and challenging, and we take your concerns seriously. We recognize that growth and expansion bring complexities, and while our intent has always been to increase access to quality care, we acknowledge that any change can create challenges. Ensuring that every client is appropriate for the level of care we provide is a top priority, and we continually refine our admission process to align with best clinical practices. Additionally, client and staff safety are non-negotiable, and we consistently assess and strengthen our policies, training, and leadership to foster a secure and supportive environment. If you’re open to further conversation, we’d welcome the opportunity to learn more about your perspective. We know that no system is perfect, but our goal is always to grow, improve, and provide the best possible care for the individuals and families we serve.

Pros

For some roles there is some flexibility and there are a few genuine and good people.

Cons

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this organization as a place of employment. Some of the concerns noted in other reviews were consistent with what I observed during my time there. In my role, expectations often felt misaligned with the actual scope of responsibilities, and there was a recurring pattern of increased workload without an adjustment in compensation. The starting compensation range for many roles also appeared low relative to the level of responsibility required. The individuals working within the organization are highly educated and qualified professionals, and my experience suggests a need for more sustainable compensation structures in relation to workload and expectations. At times, there also appeared to be a limited understanding of the demands placed on clinicians and site leadership, from the perspective of leadership and HR, which impacted clarity around roles and workload distribution. Additionally, the organization would benefit from improved structure, coordination, and more consistent internal processes, as there are inefficiencies related to how the organization operates. Overall, my experience reflects ongoing structural and operational challenges that made the work environment difficult.
