Unionized environment but suffers from micromanagement - Underwriting Sandbox Mutual Insurance Employee Review

Experience and opinion is not appreciated by Management at any level. Ego massaging is what this company is about.

The only pro left is it's under unionization, but I feel like they are trying to get rid of that. Oh did I mention this is the 3rd CEO in like 5 years

They want to grow but do not want to hire more staff, oh except for managers that cost a lot more for them and don't do the actual work needed to be done to satisfy brokers and customers. For actual workers, we are stressed and behind in everything. There are so many middle managers and its not helping at all, and they keep hiring more and more The underwriters are barely keeping up and now they want us taking more basic phone calls again, which means rerouting how many calls cause brokers just go to underwriting.... oh wait this is why the customer service centre was created, wasn't it The claims department lost 2 staff to the customer rep job and the one girl remaining has to do everything on her own, it should be a 3 people job even with the new changes, And prior to the change and moving the other 2, they should have had 5 or 6 claims dispatchers/clerks. The poor accounting team too, they should have double the staff The useless department being customer service, its making brokers made cause they cant get through to underwriters directly anymore. And let me be clear its not the front line staff's fault, those bunch are super hard workers, its upper management who doesn't want to properly staff Sandbox. They can move staff around all they want but they need more front line staff members
