Pros

- flexible hours - kind students and parents - occasional perks

Cons

- misleading hiring practice. you're told that you will be full-time, but you will never actually achieve that through your tutoring hours. you're told that you will make between $30-40 an hour, but they will only pay you minimum wage for several of your hours under the justification of "admin time." - antiquated relic of an office that makes you feel like you're back in 2010, aka: the peak of Sage - one of the CEOs has an entirely separate business but will use Sage space to store her belongings

Pros

The students are great! Most are fantastic to work with, and they will look up to you as a role model!

Cons

They will pay you between $30-40 while charging families $150 for your time; they do not train you whatsoever, so that $120 premium is entirely from them finding you clients. However, it seems that most fellow employees only average around 4-5 students per day; this is not a 40 hour work week where you are paid $30/40 per hour, that is false advertising. You will likely only make $20-25k for your year here, which means that management made over $100k from your sessions. Remember that. As a heads up, there are other local tutoring companies that pay $50-70/h while also charging families LESS, so keep that in mind.
