Pros

SLD is booming! Last year, when everyone was laying off people due to pandemic, we grew and almost doubled in size. We are making/manufacturing a great product and having the production under own roof guarantees high quality, so the demand is great. Yes, it is pretty cool knowing that our company supports first responders and law enforcement, saving lives, and we provide jobs for Americans. We just moved to a cool new building off easily accessible both from Henderson and Vegas, as we outgrew our old digs last year. Our CEO is a visionary who started this business from his garage 5 years ago and we are employing close to 90 employees now. The team is diverse and friendly. Some people keep to themselves but there is nothing wrong with that. Our new HR Director is great and she is on a mission to make this place even more awesome with some initiatives. She genuinely cares about all employees and is interested to help us grow with the company. If you work hard and want to grow, this place is great for you. We already saw several people getting promoted and that is motivating. Keep it up!

Cons

I wish we had covered parking. The new location in Henderson is too far for some people who live in North Las Vegas. Some fun team activities would help employees get to know each other better, but I guess that is coming too.

Pros

Flexible hours, interesting products, able to work with others, small to medium company.

Cons

The company or CEO hires great talent and fires quickly. They put sloppy and lazy joes in charge. This is not a place to build a career. In fact, they’ll ruin your resume and time, so my recommendation is to just find somewhere else to work and build with. They profit over your hard work and then let you go when they no longer need you or run out of ideas to keep you busy. The CEO tells you to run your department or section, but won’t allow you to make any decisions. Take your talent or skills somewhere else.
