Pros
There are no advantages other than working hours and OT.
Benefits are very basic as per labor laws - it can be better / comparable to other MNCs (which the CEO / Management claims is an MNC company but in reality, it is not).
Cons
Decisions keep changing on Management level - nothing is certain.
Politics can be clearly seen when actions (if any at all) taken against employee and management staff.
Favouritism exist from Management level to staff.
Staff treated differently when it comes to appraisal and judgement done by management staff - nothing is based on performance but if the certain management staff doesn't like or favor that staff, either a very low % or none is given.
Any complaints done by staff to HR, nothing is actionable as awaits CEO/Top management decision to proceed or otherwise, even if the facts are there to proceed - this happens few years back until i left the company.
The HR is not an independent body even if needed to take actions against Management staff for their wrong doings or make complained to mother company, STG, Japan.
Some decisions done by Management is not as per erthics but on favoritism.
Most issues happen in JB plant is not highlighted to mother company in Japan.
Not racist but most hiring is scrutinize finally by GM and currently almost 97% is malay staff with less than 3% is others - preaching about being MNC but otherwise. STX need to understand current ESG requirement currently widely accepted/being employed by most private sectors locally.
