Pros

Good 401k match Good health insurance and quarterly contribution Tips bonus can be great Free coffee All the potential to be a phenomenal workplace

Cons

Not sure which employee in HR is leaving the phony “Great place to work!” reviews. Strattec is flogging the few employees that show up and put in effort yet while others simply sit there. Work/life balance steadily declining for a lot of people. This place assumes you have no life outside of work and can be on call 24/7 and work 50-hour weeks. This may be the case for some… personally I work so I can live, not live so I can work. Zero investment in American jobs and engineering, a chicken that has come home to roost many many many many many times over. No attempts to replace employees that leave. “Wait and see what fails” method. Appears to be intent on breaking the internal processes that still work yet. Good cop/bad cop yes men management still living in 2002, really only concerned with outward appearance and not function. No follow-through on projects, simply jumping from one to the next without any closure. Knee-jerk methodology only to please their superiors. “Chief People Officer” forcing online training on “deadnaming”. Sorry I’m not normalizing this. Absent, no-communication IT department (that is, until they want to force some other insane requirement. Brain chips next?)

Pros

They have free coffee in the break room. Some of the people are nice.

Cons

From the beginning it was bad, and I should have known better than to take the job. HR drags their feet so bad getting people in the door that the good candidates get snatched up by other companies. The overall attitude is: "so and so doesn't do it, so why should I?" It's like a competition to see who can be the laziest. Management doesn't take advice from people on the floor, who know the machines very well. The executive assistant to the CEO shouldn't have that position as is not a people person and leaves a bad first impression. I had not heard one person say that they like it there. Most of the people complain about the place. It once was a great company, but it is a shell of what it used to be.
