Pros

STEEZY has a great company culture. The leadership & employees are equally dedicated to building a great product, creating compelling content, and nurturing one another's growth inside and outside of the company. You can expect to be challenged and pushed to grow in your career path, but you'll also be treated with the utmost respect and care.

Cons

Not many! Each team at STEEZY has its own quirks & areas of opportunity for improvement, but feedback is always appreciated and the standards continue to rise. You can also expect to have an easier time as a STEEZY employee if you already have a dance background/knowledge, though they do not discriminate against non-dancers in the hiring process.

Thank you for leaving such a thoughtful review! I very much appreciate the call out about being challenged and pushed to grow in one's career path - I know this is very important to Evan and Connor as co-founders, and I also know they are thankful everyone in the company is dedicated to the product, bullish about creating great content, and eager to show care and respectfulness for one another! I also appreciate the note about dance backgrounds! Going from a 4-5 person company to the 50-something we are now, it was something the leaders were acutely aware of (that diversifying in all ways, thought included, would only help STEEZY in our path forward). I believe that is something we will continually need to be cognizant of - providing contextual dance knowledge so everyone is on the same page! Sincerely, Vina Director, People and Talent Acquisition

Pros

* Hard Working: This is the hardest working team I've been a part of: they do incredible work in tight deadlines, but still manage to maintain work/life balance (most of the time). * Culture of Feedback: Leadership has worked really hard to make regular feedback a part of our culture; coworkers have a high degree of respect for one another which makes feedback conversations easier. * Opportunity: This is a company where you can easily have your voice heard and make direct impact into our product and member experience. * Company Culture: Most of the company went remote for all of 2020, but Leadership, our Office Manager, and People Team prioritized company culture: they work really hard to help us feel connected with regular Zoom events and dedicated time to socialize with new team members. * Leadership: Our company founders actually lead by example and have instilled values across all facets of the company that help us all work better. STEEZY Leadership is a breath of fresh air compared to many corporate and startup leaders. * STEEZY is a cool company: This is a cool product with a devoted, passionate community, and a unicorn team working to make it even better.

Cons

STEEZY is still an early stage startup, and leadership is fiscally responsible which is a good thing, but also means you may find yourself without all of the tools you're used to working with. There's no "blank check" to purchase tools/services (and headcount), but leadership is also very reasonable if you are able to contextualize the value of the investment. This is a young company so priorities may shift quickly to match demand.

Thank you so much for this detailed and well thought out review! I'm really happy you called out the culture of feedback - this is super important to Evan, Connor, and myself, and I'm glad you find value in it as well! It has most definitely been a tough year to ensure everyone feels connected despite most of us being remote, so I also appreciate the mention about prioritizing company culture! To your point about a blank check, I agree that as a start-up we have to be cognizant of where we allocate our budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility, hopefully as we scale, we can continue to develop more flexibility in this area so that teams can have the necessary tools (and headcount)! Sincerely, Vina Director, People and Talent Acquisition
