Pros
Good clients/ talented people/ interesting design
Cons
Toxic CEO/ no benefits/ overworked/ damaging for mental health The previous review is a perfect description of this company and famous amongst its employees. The work-life and culture here are set by the CEO, and he has made it an extremely toxic environment. The bullying and gaslighting that you have to endure from the owner is extremely damaging to one's health. Not only are you overworked, with unmanageable workload and frequent long hours, but you are also constantly gaslit as an employee, expertise is not respected, unrealistic expectations and budgets are promised to clients setting employees up to fail, and you are subject to constant abuse and belittling from the owner. Often, employees will be yelled at and bullied in front of others or without expectations if the owner is having a bad day, causing everyone to work in fear. Expressions of unhappiness or exhaustion are met with no respect but instead turned around on the employee (told to "prioritize better"). I am unaware of one colleague who was not subject to disrespect or bullying from the CEO or didn't have serious concerns with the company culture. At times the morale was so low, many employees were desperate for a change but didn't want to lose their jobs. Your work is never enough, more work is piled on, and there is almost no praise or reward for deidication. The treatment is so belittling and constant at times, that it was a serious concern for my coworker's mental (and physical) health. The company also offers bare minimum benefits, and only 7 days vacation time total. Moreover, your workload is so high, it's often impossible to enjoy a day off. This adds to the toxicity as many are experiencing deep lows and tiredness, but are unable to take any time off for self-care or rest. My experience working here was only made okay at times by talented and supportive colleagues. It's extremely unfortunate that the owner treats people with such little regard. This is not a disgruntled employee but simply someone concerned for the health of current and future employees.
