Pros
It was somewhat close to home.
Cons
Top management demonstrates willful ignorance by deliberately ignoring the expertise of their hired professionals. They exhibit narcissistic tendencies and often act dishonestly, even with their own employees. These tendencies lead to constant rework and delays. They treat their employees poorly and often ask more of them than they are capable of handling.
Management is notoriously cheap, while buying themselves top shelf gear. Great examples of this are refusing to fix the hot water heater in the office that hasn’t worked in over a year, refusing to buy their employees simple necessary software like Microsoft office, and having their employees use inferior tools (including electronics) and hardware. This leads to more work and more downtime.
The benefits are both incredibly expensive for the employee and bad. They offer well below the industry standard for vacation days, and have been known to still contact you to do work when you do get PTO approved.
If you choose to work here, just know that I warned you ahead of time.
