They also didn't pay my reimbursements and asked me to resign with a 10-day backdate. Plus, they'd make us work until 11 PM or even midnight, threatening 'strict action' if we didn't comply. It's a 'chindi chori wali company' as we say in desi language. I'm at a loss. What are my options in such a situation? Has anyone else faced something similar?

They offer very low salary for fresher. They ask oneself to sign a commitment letter for staying up to certain period or years. That comitment letter is signed on joining day and HR does not tell about that before. There is no HR policy as whatever MD says that is the last word. HR works as a median or harbinger of MD. As a commitment is signed, therefore, if any one wants to leave the company before that period then they don't accept resignation even they force to stay at the firm and they say that they won't provide any relieving letter. Apart from that, during the increment month everyone is asked about their desire on mail. But,while giving the increment they asked to sign commitment for another year or six months according to them. Even, they have made a new policy that if one accepts an increment then company won't accept resignation for six months or one is not allowed to resign.
