Pros

The pay was okay...massages were fairly nice...Friday lunch was decent

Cons

I don't even know where to start because there are so many. Let's start at the top...the CEO. The CEO was rude and felt he was entitled to treat you like scum. He would yell at employees could constantly and employees would chalk that up to him being "passionate" about his company. I call BS on that. The employees are all fresh out of college and don't know a good CEO/boss yet. They assume that's normal...well it's not. Get out!! Find someone who appreciates you!! Next the COO, he and the CEO push honesty and integrity yet they are missing those qualities themselves. If you discuss something to the COO he will turn and throw you under the bus. After which he will go and smoke his cigarettes (or whatever drug he has) to feel better about treating you so badly. Since treating their employees like garbage and chalk that up to it being a part of the "culture" they have to make up for it with the perks. Yes- massages, lunch, boot camp, etc are good in theory but it's just a crutch they use to draw people in. Don't fall for it! This company isn't worth your time, talents, or most importantly your self esteem. I am giving SCOTTeVEST a one star only because I have to. They deserve much less.

Pros

Generally when a workplace touts itself as drama free and dedicated to honesty, those statements are so dry you could start a fire with them. In my experience, however, these are genuine traits of the SCOTTeVEST atmosphere. Being able to bring your dog to work with you (and being able to take them out when they need to go) is great - you know you're not leaving your best friend alone at home crated all day (and your trash will stay safe at home while you're not there to guard it). The friendly atmosphere encourages and fosters actual friendship with your coworkers through weekly get togethers outside of work (a company perk includes the company covering costs for food and drink at a local bar - with excellent food, might I add - when 3 or more employees are together). The product is worth selling! As an employee, you also get a small clothing allowance every few months so that you can acquire some of the clothing to wear whether at work or in your personal life. The area is beautiful - if you're in to hiking and adventuring and skiing, it's the perfect location.

Cons

The area is a little remote - it's about an hour's drive to the closest Walmart, so you'll need to learn how to minimize shopping trips. Meetings with management can prove frustrating if you are not accustomed to being spoken to bluntly. Not rudely - but bluntly. Typically, they are quick to the point rather than dragging out the conversation.
