It’s been and honor and an adventure - Senior Vice President Russell Tobin Employee Review

I have been in the recruiting business for over 15 years. Working for PRIDE Global (Russell Tobin’s corporate company), while not always easy, has always been a positive experience. There are a lot of truly great people here. They show up every day with a smile on their face and a desire to do great work. Is every day perfect? Of course not. Like any family, as Leo (our CEO), refers to us, we have our good days and out bad ones. This is not an easy job, and for those who understanding what it’s like to work in a staffing agency, we really do live and die by the effort and energy we put into our job each and every day. Slack off a little on any given day and the following week you spend playing catchup. That’s the nature of the job. I always find it interesting when I see an anonymous negative review from a former employer. To me it tells me that the person was just not the right fit for the job. When one is filled with such anger and venom, it seems less sincere and dishonest to me. To quantify Leo (aka Mr. Russell) with so much negative passion just makes me shake my head, and makes me ask what’s the point? Is he perfect? No, but none of us are. Can he be difficult at times and demand the best? Yes, but someone responsible for the wellbeing of over 200 internal employees and over 3000 temporary staff working across the country, I would expect nothing less. I had the honor (sarcastic) of working for a legitimate criminal, one who was indicted for fraud, because he only thought about himself and not the people who work for him. I’ve never found Leo to be anything but honest. Sometimes, this honesty is to his admitted detriment. He’s direct and will always tell you how he feels. Not everyone likes this, and it can take some getting used to, but I always felt that he has his staffs best interest in mind. As for the Russell Tobin staff, I really don’t know if there’s a negative thing to be said about them. They’re a passionate, hard working group of people. They’re very close knit, they lean on each other for support, and they are dedicated to the success of the company. It’s a shame that someone felt that they needed to smear their name for a personal vendetta.
