Pros

Good people to work with for the most part Good opportunity for future ownership role Learning experience for the future

Cons

Dishonest about pay (100% commission and the $300 that's "guaranteed" must be paid back and will be taken from your checks) No one says that the job is standing in Walmart trying to sell directv until you're on the way there for the first time. If I had known that prior to signing on I would have gone to another company. Unpredictable pay checks every week No hourly or mileage reimbursement. Some Walmarts are close to Virginia. Was not aware that "the field" was actually a Walmart until being given directions on my fourth day. Having to take people home who don't have cars even if you cannot afford to or risk being fired. If you do not have gas or money to travel to team night or eat at the overpriced bar they pick you will not be given interviews which is how you get promoted. The schedule is given a month in advance but can change the day before with optional days being made mandatory. Not actually a management position.

I'm sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with us. We try to be as transparent as possible. I would like to make a few points: 1. This is NOT a commission only sales position. Our reps are paid a combination of guarantee, commission, and bonuses. 2. Generally compensation and benefits are not discussed within the first few minutes of an interview - they are usually discussed after the initial screening/initial interview. 3. As I said before we try to be as transparent as possible. We let every person that comes through our doors know that we work in retail locations. We promote the outstanding opportunity to grow into upper level positions that allow for greater earning potential and scheduling flexibility. 4. Our company is categorized as Sales and Marketing for many reasons. One of the main reasons we associate the term “marketing” with our company is because marketing is a form of sales. It is a method used to communicate with our audience and learn more about our target demographic through research, advertising, and direct contact. 5. As for the hours and location of our retailers, our workday is defined as being strictly 12:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and additional hours are entirely optional. There are also multiple locations for our retailers. 6. We do not part ways with our employees if they decline to take people home. 7. Our company is based off of merit based advancement. If you are unhappy with your paycheck, then you have the power to change that all on your own. So that way you can "have gas money" to go to the "overpriced bar" that we pick for team night. 8. We only had given a schedule a month in advance for the holidays. I do apologize for any confusion that you had with our holiday schedule. 9. It is not a Management position right away. You have to work your way up to management like any other company. All of our employees start out at the same place. 10. To address your “Advice to Management," as I have stated twice before we state in the first and second interview that we work in retail locations. As for your minimum wage comment, we have office locations all over the nation that operate with the same compensation. In my above comment, if you are unhappy with your paycheck, you have the power to change that. We do let our candidates know what we compensate our employees and we go over it thoroughly in our second interview. To whomever posted this anonymously- we would love the opportunity to speak with you personally and figure out what went wrong in your interview/hiring/training process. We would greatly appreciate the time, if you are willing. Please contact Human Resources at 336-763-6148. Thank you.
