- Rapid growth that seems sustainable - There's a lot of enthusiasm about using AI for everything and seeing what sticks, even when it doesn't make sense (even moreso than in other tech companies because it's an AI company). Up to you whether this is a pro or a con - Remote. Also up to you whether this is a pro or a con - Compensation is very good considering it's a startup and remote - Work life balance is pretty good considering the stage of the company

- Some politics sometimes - AI bubble?

I was fortunate to work with an exceptionally collaborative, smart, and supportive team. The people and culture were a highlight, this is a genuine, mission-aligned team. They are all deeply committed to doing meaningful work. From day one, I felt welcomed, respected, and energized by the vision I was brought into.

Despite being hired very recently, with no indication that my role might be at risk, I was part of a sudden layoff that felt misaligned with the values the organization presents externally. The lack of transparency and foresight around this decision was disappointing and left me questioning how decisions are made at the leadership level. What was most difficult was that the layoff came without warning or context, and affected a number of employees along with myself. This very sudden action felt inconsistent with the culture of care and clarity that had been communicated to me at the time of hire.
