Pros

A smaller team and company makes for an overall simpler structure and a good place to work. Managers are kind and receptive of feedback of any kind.

Cons

Depending on which location you work at, management can be less than ideal

Pros

- My initial boss left the company about a month before I did, but he was incredible flexible; the new supervisor seemed to also be flexible. - New supervisor was open to feedback and suggestions during exit interview: more size-inclusive apparel, adding in regular team meetings and trainings, advocating for higher pay - AMAZING perks (example: significant discount on store merchandise) - The overall culture of the store was friendly and welcoming. I felt respected by my supervisor, my coworkers, and other employees at the store. - Relating to above, I felt like I could always ask questions of my coworkers if I wasn't sure about something when working with a customer. - Hourly pay rather than commission - which I DEEPLY appreciate

Cons

- Low pay, not livable in the Denver area - Sizing was not inclusive in store, nor did the store purchase from size-inclusive brands - Understaffed - most employees were part-time, myself included, and I think more full-time employees could be added on if the pay becomes competitive - Former supervisor became incredibly busy in 2022 as he dealt with an understaffed store, which negatively impacted employees like myself, who were part-time and not receiving regular updates and training on new items. I often felt like I was working on the fly with selling merchandise and that customers would notice - but as a full-time graduate student, I didn't have the time to conduct research on new items, nor could I keep up at times. However, as mentioned in the pros, the new supervisor said in the exit interview that this was one of the changes she wanted to make with the company. I know for sure she started having team meetings because of the few emails I received right before my last day.

Pros

Discounts on products, occasional free products, race entries.

Cons

Starting salary is extremely low, mostly start at minimum wage. Hard to sell products when stores never receive inventory and orders take too long, so customers order elsewhere. Store managers take advantage of the schedule and leave the store short staffed.
