Pros

Flexible schedule and great clients

Cons

Constant micromanaging, forced to put rose colored glasses on clients, accentuate the bells & whistles & gloss over the real problems (immature technology), KPIs for bonus are not thoroughly defined & will be changed when it’s time to pay out.

Pros

The problem that Rovicare is trying to solve is a major issue in healthcare. So for the mission minded individuals that love to help people navigate the complexities of the healthcare industry, then this organization would be very appealing.

Cons

This is a true start up with little to no structure. The main founder likes to maintain total control of all processes, decisions, and interactions between staff members and prospective clients. During my short tenure there, he pushed out several high performing senior leaders because he couldn’t set a strategy and stick to it. Then he would get upset that the company wasn’t growing and cast blame on everyone except himself, eventually forcing out those employees. many of those employees have gone on to have successful leadership careers so at some point you have to look at the common denominator which is the founder. He would belittle employees when he was upset and created a really toxic work environment. His software engineering team (unpaid interns from ASU) would sit in total silence because they were afraid of him.
