Low Pay - Law Clerk Ross McBride Employee Review

Friendly: as a summer student, I had a pleasant experience interacting with lawyers and the legal support staff. Everyone was extremely nice and open to talking to me, even though I wasn’t even in university yet. The senior lawyers were especially nice. Good exposure to many areas of law: for a smaller size firm, the lawyers have expertise in many areas of law, and you get a great opportunity to dabble in many of them Good size: the firm is not so big that lawyers are unaccessible, but not to small that they only practice a couple of areas of law

Administrative management was less amicable than the legal staff. Somewhat disorganized support staff: though all very nice, the legal support staff didn’t seem to communicate among each other very well. As a summer student, I had to centralize my assigned tasks myself and ensure the workload is manageable. This is not necessarily a bad thing though, as it gave me leeway in the kind of work that I did.

I work with a great team and really like my coworkers.

The pay is not adequate. We have not had a raise in coming up on three years. They keep saying they will be addressing this issue, but so far nothing.
