Pros

If you have half a brain cell and the ability to speak to people, you can make money. There is nothing hard or challenging about this work at all.

Cons

Some of the rudest, most unprofessional individuals I have ever had the misfortune to work with. Acted like children with petty squabbles over splits on jobs and candidates . Shocked to have to put on 10 fake jobs per day to lure candidates in, in the hope of touting them out. These people thought they had a chance at a real job and never realised it was all nonsense in order for consultants to email all their clients trying to find them work. Negative attitude to needing any time off, ie. Hospital appointment or child being sick. The branch manager didn't care one iota for anyone but always just looked at what you could have done/made, not how well you have performed. Nothing was ever good enough even when I hit well beyond your target! Not a bit of gratitude. Heaven help you if you are off sick! Working hours were 8 - 6 but at least twice a week you had to be in before this and you were positively frowned on if you had the cheek to leave on time. You have to fund everything yourself when taking clients out on marketing weeks and this can run to hundreds of pounds in expenses that you then have to claim back. More fool you if use your mobile for work - they won't pay you anything back. Pay is extremely poor. The more your basic, the more you have to earn to 'cover your seat' before you earn commission. Systems so locked down you can't even add an icon you use regularly to your desktop. So much micro - management you hardly had time to do the job. Branch manager and team leaders need serious training on how to manage people. Gossip fuelled environment which was very uncomfortable.

Pros

Great in finding contracts for contract workers. They got me a remote job that allowed me to work from my home in the Midwest for a job in California.

Cons

Can be hard to reach at times.

Pros

Hybrid, Good benefits/PTO, offered “competitions” for gift cards, cares about employees

Cons

As a recruiting manager, I felt that the pay structure was interesting with the base pay being a “draw” - meaning that you base salary is essentially commission paid to you in advance. So if you have some slow months, it rolls over and works yourself into a hole. I think it would be a better structure if it reset every month.
