Pros
Those located beneath “Senior Management” status were a pleasure to work with. It’s unfortunate that these personalities weren’t reflected above.
Cons
1) There is no understanding, and thus no execution, of a proper industry retail timeline and calendar. None of the business leaders in this company have the skill set or knowledge to run a fashion company. 2) Due to this fact – From Experience - You the employee are working in an environment where there are constant fires being set by Senior Management to try and cover up their own ineptitude. 3) With no firm set objectives in place, employees are not able to wrap their arms around duties and or task effectively – which breeds frustration and distrust. 4) The level of in fighting that takes place within the Senior Management team is horrible, distracting and counter productive. 5) The environment is a place where one feels more like you’re in a state of servitude, rather than a community of free flowing creative energy and ideas. 6) Nepotism of itself is not necessarily a bad thing. Though nepotism practiced at the detriment of the companies upward mobility is just not good business. There is a brooding state of incompetence that is like a cancer at this company’s very core. 7) Creativity is stifled and not respected. 8) The work life balance is Horrendous. 9) There is a constant need to point fingers and find scapegoats whenever and wherever possible by Senior Management, rather than demonstrating a concerted effort to build up a self assured and confident team. 10) The level of duplicity is toxic and far reaching. 11) The worst in all of these instances, is the fact that there is never a real sense of accomplishment, a feeling of a celebrated completion at any point and at anytime.
