Pros
It taught me a lot of skills I can use in other jobs and in general everyone was nice and helpful, also you get a decent discount and get to talk a lot with customers
Cons
Being new, I definitely felt a sense of the hierarchy, not just with managers. It was like treading on eggshells - one minute it's ok to do one thing, then another you were told off for doing the same thing. Also, it took them 3 weeks to bother to train me on tills, even though at point I would be the only person on the shop floor and would awkwardly have to ask customers to wait until someone came down.
