Pros

They do a good job at providing a high quality product, and the work there seems to be engaging.

Cons

If you don’t fit into their predefined culture, you’ll be pretty quickly ostracized, encouraged to leave, and/or fired. For some people the company works really well, others are the reason there is a high turnover rate. Hit or miss.

Pros

Ripple is a leader in the field of neural interface electronics. The work is challenging and impactful and employees get wide latitude to contribute design ideas and structure their time as they see fit to accomplish their work. As a software engineer at Ripple I was responsible for architecting and implementing much of the graphical interface front end for their line of neuroscience research products. I found it exciting to own projects from the ground up and work on interdisciplinary teams with highly skilled hardware engineers.

Cons

Ripple is ambitious and demands a lot of its employees. As a young company, resources are tight and priorities can shift as the company pivots to take advantage of new opportunities. This is definitely not your standard plug and play software job.
