Biggest cons are leadership. What you need to understand is this company was started by former BCG employees who maintain too close of a relationship with the firm. 90% of your work will be partnering with BCG projects which sounds great until you realize you are working the same long hours as BCG employees but are getting paid a third of the salary. The most important thing to consider when applying to work at this firm is that it is only successful because of its relationship with BCG. As a result, leadership at Rios does anything that BCG says which means zero loyalty to its own employees, and often times, unethical practices that completely contradict the values preached by the company.
Additionally, advancement in the firm is incredibly difficult as leadership works to maintain certain certifications like “Veteran-owned” or additional small business certifications that are only available if they have a certain number of people in different positions. Not a place where it is easy to climb the ladder unless you are popular.
