Pros
- Low pay is great character development. - They do a great job letting people go who over exceed on quota. - Increasing quota's that don't math that come with no salary change are great for building grit and perseverance. Why pay someone to do one person's job when they can do three different people's jobs. Why didn't I think of that? - Changing company strategy every other week keeps you on your toes
Cons
The strategy at Revivn is to hire senior people for a short period to build proper systems only to be fired so a cheaper hire can run what they build. These are the pitfalls of being bootstrapped, incredibly penny pinching and lack of transparency. From a GTM perspective their TAM is very small--basically only tech companies that have apple computers, their territory math is based on this false refresh system no IT teams abide by, and they don't have any real sales process. Ask anyone what happens in the sale after a demo, you'll get crickets. Some of the managers I worked with have no idea how to manage their emotions, when something doesn't go right, they'll take it out on you. They willingly hire people that are green so they can't recognize the dumpster fire. (P.S. Those 5 reviews below were literally leadership team doing damage control because they couldn't recruit anyone.)
