Pros

Small friendly family company from Munich, nice senior mgmt team in Germany. Large player in German market for email security and broadcast fax. Fun start up in USA and lots of team building events, great friends made here, all dedicated workers.

Cons

Very rigid German mgmt team moved to USA and insist on selling a German product in US and has not worked very well with high prices and out of date products compared to other fax providers. Always promising more money and compensation but always failing and broken promises. Struggle every day with support in Germany and product team in Munich. Clients unhappy about the service and support, very hard to manage client support. Many service outages.

Pros

Retarus proudly offers a remote work option, providing employees with the flexibility to work from any location while maintaining a strong connection to the team. This approach promotes a healthy work-life balance, reduces commuting stress, and empowers staff to be more productive and focused.

Cons

Micromanaged by U.S. leadership under the directive of a European autocratic leadership team can be frustrating and counterproductive. This top-down, rigid approach often stifles a true salesperson's innovation and creativity, as local leaders are forced to follow orders without considering the nuances of the U.S. market or leveraging the strengths of their teams. U.S. leaders, afraid to push back against this authority, often fail to advocate for the needs of their team or market, further exacerbating the disconnect. This lack of autonomy and fear of challenging the status quo can lead to disengagement and stifle the organization’s potential for growth and adaptability
